Nuthatch Cottage

Nuthatch Cottage is part of a 300 year old cob barn and it is named after the pair of nuthatches which breed in the garden every year and can be seen on the bird table on the private terrace. The cottage can sleep two people and there is room in the double bedroom for a cot or z-bed too. The upside down layout means that the bedroom and bathroom are downstairs. Upstairs is an open-plan sitting/dining room and kitchen. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player and lots of books, guest information and games. The French doors open from the lounge/dining room onto a private terrace with the south-facing gardens and tennis court beyond. The cottage is centrally heated in the cooler months making it cosy all year round. There is private off-road parking right outside the cottage. Over the road is our own mini nature reserve, with 25 acres of meadow and two lakes, one for fishing.

We spent a week at Nuthatch cottage with our two dogs and had a wonderful stay. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. Simon and Sarah were warm and welcoming hosts and there was lots of info on the area including walks for the dogs. The lakes are beautiful and very handy.

A very comfortable 3 night stay at Nuthatch cottage with my wife and our two Westies. The little touches were appreciated with dog treats labelled 'woof' and lovely biscuits for us. There was enough milk in fridge to make a cup of tea on arrival. Open plan kitchen and lounge opened out on to lovely garden. Large enough for dogs to run around. Even has a tennis court in the middle of it. Lovely private large ponds/lake within 100 yards of accommodation for short walk nearby. We look forward to visiting again.

We stayed at Nuthatch Cottage in July for a week. The owners Sarah & Simon made us feel very welcome. They really have thought of Everything! the cottage is furnished with Everything you could imagine, lovely safe gardens for our dog Hercules & if you wish a private fishing lake! we loved our stay .
